How I Got These Scars No. 17

February 6th, 2009

With the recent announcement that ‘V’ is going to be revived, I thought that now would be a great time to revisit ‘Earth: Final Conflict,’ another series about a misleading alien relationship with humanity that ran from 1997 to 2002.

The following review contains spoilers for LOST through the current episode, “The Little Prince” originally broadcast February 4th, 2009.

Money.  It all comes back to money, doesn’t it?  Because of money (and, specifically, contracts), the big reveal of this episode was spoiled.  Luckily for the viewers of LOST, the writers didn’t just have one surprise in store in this episode.  But if not for money, the big one would’ve been a lot more exciting.

The following review contains spoilers through the episode “The Transformation,” originally aired 2/3/09.

By any reasonable estimation, “The Transformation” marks Fringe’s growth as one of the most self-assured new series launched in the past few seasons. Tonight at 9:00PM ET the fourth volume of Heroes (Fugitives) premieres on NBC.  The fourth volume, encompassing the second half of the third season, will run thirteen episodes and wrap up on Monday, April 27th, 2009.  Check back tomorrow for our review of the episode.

The following review contains spoilers for Legend of the Seeker through the current episode, “Confession” originally broadcast the weekend of January 31st, 2009.

This was an interesting episode, one that explored a darker aspect of Confessors (in this case Kahlan), but it ultimately fell flat due to a fairly obvious plot and the introduction of Zedd’s brother.  If one Zorander is annoying, imagine how annoying two Zoranders can be. All that yelling. On the plus side, there weren’t any precocious children in this episode.
