FOX has revealed its 2009-2010 television schedule. As usual, it is broken into two parts: fall 2009 and winter 2010. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is nowhere to be found and has been officially cancelled. In a surprising move, however, the network has renewed Dollhouse for a second season. It will remain on Fridays at 9PM following a new sitcom, Brothers, and a returning sitcom, ‘Til Death. Fringe moves to Thursday at 9PM for its second season after Bones. Premiering in mid season is Human Target, a new drama based on the DC Comics character.

Will Dollhouse sink even lower in the Nielsen ratings in its second season? Should FOX have renewed Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles instead? Can Fringe survive without additional boosts from American Idol?

I’m obviously biased, but I think FOX made a huge mistake. Terminator was one of their most quality shows, in my opinion…and I still maintain that the show would’ve, if properly advertised, received a boost from Terminator Salvation.
But, of course, by sending the show to Fridays, they were sending it to its death. We all saw this coming a long time ago, but we were all sort of hoping that the show’s quality (and apparently low cost) would save it.
I can’t believe that Dollhouse got renewed when I’ve heard nothing but bad things (and from Joss fans). Terminator could’ve done a lot with 13 episodes, and I wish it’d been given a similar chance.
But FOX is known for really dumb decisions, and this is just another to add to that is.

It truly sucketh that Fox put Fringe opposite another show I watch on Thursdays, puts a real dilemma there…
