Quick Review: Warehouse 13, “Pilot”

Warehouse 13, SCI FI Channel Syfy’s latest original scripted series, premiered on Tuesday, July 7th with a two-hour episode. I’ve watched all of SCI FI’s ill-fated dramas these past few years: Flash Gordon, Painkiller Jane, The Dresden Files. Not to mention Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica and Eureka. Plus Sanctuary, the only new show to get a second season since Eureka, I believe. I even grew to like Flash Gordon by the time it ended.
So it’s not like I wasn’t going to at least sample Warehouse 13. But I was actually excited about Warehouse 13 due to the involvement of actress Joanne Kelly. She had a starring role in FOX’s Vanished, a recurring role in The Dresden Files, and had guest appearances on The CW’s Supernatural and ABC’s Castle. Plus a really bad ABC miniseries called Diamonds that aired in May. She has a magnetism that I can’t even begin to explain. Unfortunately, she couldn’t do much to save Warehouse 13 from itself.
