Of course. To
submit news, simply send an email to news@lowerdecks.com.
If you have an account in our forum, there's a forum that you can post any items
you wish to report. Please make sure you include the
link to the story, and what name you would like to be credited
with.
I submitted
a news article, but it was not posted?
Sometimes news
articles aren't posted because it's not immediately relevent, doesn't
appear reputable, or else something similar was recently reported.
If your item isn't posted, do not take it personally. We also ask
that you continue to submit any news you feel is important.
Can I submit
written material to be included in the site's content, such as
reviews or articles?
Yes, contact
the writing department at karma@lowerdecks.com for
further details.
Can I use
the Ranks used on the BBS for my own site?
Yes, but within
reason. Firstly you MUSTcontact the creator, Paul Pytlik, at morbo@lowerdecks.com to
ask for permission. Secondly, you must provide credit to him and
Lowerdecks prominently, in the appropriate location. We also ask
that you do not take every set have available. Lastly, all images
MUST be copied to your own server. Do not link directly from the
image source.
Can I use
your BBS smilies on the BBS for my own site?
Yes, the following
smilies were created by Paul Pytlik and may be used
with permission from
Paul. Email him at morbo@lowerdecks.com to
ask for permission. Secondly, you must provide credit to him and
Lowerdecks prominently, in the appropriate location. We also ask
that you do not take every set have available. Lastly, all images

Can I use
your video caps on my site?
You cannot use
any original screencaps from this site on another site without
prior expressed written permission. If you would like to use our
screencaps on your site, send an email to morbo@lowerdecks.com.
Also we ask that you include credit to Lowerdecks.com and provide
a link on any pages our content is used.
Where do you
get your news from?
We have an extensive
list of sites we visit everyday for news items. We always place
links to the source so you can probably obtain a list from clicking
on those sources. We also have original sources for some stories,
and accept user submitted stories.
Can I place
a link and banner on Lowerdecks.com?
Yes, we currently
have a link
page which consists of fan sites, official sites, actor/actress
pages, and other useful pages. To submit a link, you must email Lowerdecks.com
a request to be placed on the links page. Please include your name,
site URL, a brief description of the site content, any banner images
you require. If we add your site, we ask that you add Lowerdecks.com
to your links page as well.
Can you record
episodes or movies for me and mail them to me?
No. That is illegal,
and we do not support this practice.
Do you allow
advertising on Lowerdecks.com?
At this time
we have no need for advertisements.
Will you sell
any personal information I submit to Lowerdecks.com?
No. Any personal
information submitted to this site or the Observation Lounge BBS
will not se sold or seen by anyone else outside Lowerdecks.com.
Will you take
donations for Lowerdecks.com?
We appreciate
your desire to help out Lowerdecks.com, but at this time we have
no need for donations. Any
need for donations will be announced if the time comes.
Can I join
Lowerdecks.com staff?
We routinely
post staff applications for staff positions at the Observation
Lounge. When we are looking for staff, we look for talented people
with certain skills such as HTML/PHP, Flash, artists, and writers.
All work on Lowerdecks.com is on a volunteer basis.
