Fans of the cult science fiction saga will be in seventh heaven with the opening of the biggest Star Trek exhibition ever staged.

You can pose for a photo with Captain Kirk, battle the Borg from the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, ride in a simulator and have yourself superimposed on to a souvenir video clip.

Martin Biallas, the brains behind "Star Trek: The Adventure" says it is scheduled to go around the world from Europe to the United States and Australia, "on a five-year mission to seek out new audiences, to boldly go where Star Trek has never gone before."

"We need about 250,000 people to break even. I think we will do 500,000 in London. We can comfortably accommodate 10,000 a day," he said

The exhibition has its world premiere in London on December 18.
