Guide.ca Mike Attenborough at the Canadian TV Guide site has written a detailed report of what the stars of The Original Series are doing now. Below is an excerpt: The original "Star Trek" series aired only from 1966 to 1969, but provided jobs for life for the first crew of the USS Enterprise. It also spawned five other series (including the kitschy '70s cartoon), ten big-budget movies, official and unofficial reunions and documentaries have assured Kirk and his crew a permanent place in the pop culture canon. In the days following 1994s "Generations," the movie that retired the old crew (or at least, those who chose to appear in it) and promoted the "Next Generation" cast, the seven original Enterprise officers for the first time faced the prospect, for them at least, of a dry "Star Trek" wellspring. These days, the original cast is found more often than not poking fun at their former characters or capitalizing on the opportunities that accompany being an "original "Star Trek" cast member." And were not just talking about the convention circuit. Click here to view the entire article.
