Box Office Mojo reports that this past weekend, Star Trek Nemesis only managed to pull in $4,415,081. This is a 76.2% decrease from last weekend, and these numbers caused it to plummet to the number 8position in the Box Office top 10. The odds of Nemesis reaching $60 million (film's final cost) are becoming increasingly unlikely.

To place things in perspective, Star Trek Insurrection saw a 62.3% decline it's second weekend, and Star Trek First Contact declined by 42.9%.

Nemesis now holds the record for the most percentage decline in its second weekend, the lowest opening weekend gross, and if things do not improve, the lowest grossing Trek movie of all time.

These numbers are dire, and with the future of the Star Trek film and television franchise at stake, the future is quite uncertain.
