Talking to the Sci Fi Channel's Sci Fi Wire, T'Pol actress Jolene Blalock spoke out about her feelings about the upcoming episode entitled "Stigma." "It's one thing to have a story where you see a character who's sick and dealing with it, and it's another to see how a character contracts the disease. And we do show how. She contracts the disease through a mind-meld, and there's a lot of shame concerning the act..."

As whether or not we will begin to see changes in her character...

"They wanted to keep it along the lines of the actual disease," Blalock says. "A lot of people walking around right now have AIDS or the HIV virus, and you wouldn't know it. So the decision was made not to have me look sickly..."

As previously reported, "Stigma" deals with a Vulcan illness, which is very similar to AIDS, in which T'Pol contracts during a mind meld. The victims of this illness are stigmatized in Vulcan society, and Phlox finds out this secret.

"Stigma" will air on February 5th on UPN.
