Trek Galaxy has posted a segment of John Logan's latest interview, currently available in the December issue of Star Trek Monthly. Below is a snippet:

"I met Brent Spiner, who was doing a play in New York with a friend of mine Linda Eder. And we had dinner, and he said, 'would you ever think about writing a Star Trek movie?' 'In a New York minute! I would love to do it.' So he brought me in to meet Rick Berman. I said, 'I know who the villains are - the Remans, Romulus and Remus! It's the shot of the bird of prey with the two planets - there's Romulus and there's Remus. We've never seen Remus, we don't know what Remus is, let's use Remus.' He loved that idea, once he knew what it was. So I'm really proud that I was able to go into the Trek mythology and add a part about what the Romulan Empire is."

Is Nemesis the final instalment of the Star Trek: The Next Generation movie saga? Logan says he doesn't know. "I hope it's not, because I'm a fan and I'd like to write Star Trek XI. But I think maybe because I'm a fan and I respect the characters and the world so much, I believe I treated them with dignity and with a certain nobility about recognising that perhaps this is the end of this particular story. And if that is the case, I would be saddened, but I believe we do it with panache and with grace."
