Via Sci-fi Pulse:

In the latest issue of Star Trek Monthly, Linda Park explains some of her feelings regarding Enterprise and the character growth of Hoshi. Below is a snippet:

“I’m comfortable being back”, says Park. “I was so happy to see all of my co-stars. I love working with all of them, and it was just right being back to work. It took me the first year to get used to the way time goes so fast and so slow. It also took me a little while to find my footing, as I said, in front of camera, because I had very little experience doing television. Fortunately ‘Star Trek’ is such a wonderful environment for an actor to learn every aspect of acting in front of a camera and to learn all the technical aspects as well. So many actors who’ve been on the ‘Star Trek’ shows go on to direct, and that’s something I’d like to do too. But it took me a few episodes to get comfortable and confident with being on the set”

[...]

“I’ve definitely expressed to the writers, my interest in seeing Hoshi grow out of that, and she did grow out of it. I’m happy with where they took her during the rest of season one and now into season two. She took an active interest in weapons training. She’s volunteering to go into hostile situations. I think they’ve done a really good job of developing her slowly, so that there are places for her to go, and now I’m ready to tackle new obstacles for her to overcome.
