Three episodes into the second season of ENTERPRISE the crew have time travelled, met Romulans and even visited Pennsylvania. But in the eleventh episode of the season, "Precious Cargo," Captain Archer and the crew of the NX-01 will meet some new aliens dealing in a mysterious cargo.

After answering a distress signal from an alien ship, Enterprise offers engineering assistance to the ship of two aliens--'Firek Goff' and 'Firek Plinn'. Dirty and grimey from their long journey they dock their ship alongside the Enterprise and come aboard.

The aliens are relieved that their distress signal has finally been received because they have an important passenger who must be transported in biological stasis. The young woman in question has been put into stasis to save resources on their ship, which still has five months left before reaching its destination. But her stasis chamber has malfunctioned and they have desperately diverted as many resources as they could to keep it running.

Archer suggests a mututally beneficial arrangement and offers the aliens passage aboard the Enterprise, which can travel much faster than their warp 2.2.-capable vessel. The captain hopes that Goff will facilitate an introduction to an unexplored inhabited planet along the way. Goff is uneasy, eager to stick to the plan as previously worked out. He declines Archer's offer, saying that he must deliver the passenger at the appropriate time--in five months--due to various complications. The captain is somewhat suspicious but is content to show his guest a hot meal for now.

Note, nothing has officially been announced by Paramount so treat this as you would any rumor.
